Métamorphose du diamant
(Diamond metamorphosis)
Based on the Clever Cloud logo, which evokes the shape of a diamond, Géraud Soulhiol proposes a graphic reinterpretation in which straight lines become sinuous flows. Inspired by the contour lines used in cartography, the drawing becomes a moving, almost liquid surface, transforming the initial geometric rigour into a kinetic composition. This visual metamorphosis, somewhere between topography and optical illusion, also evokes psychedelic aesthetics.
Born in 1981, Géraud Soulhiol lives and works between Paris and Cahors.
His work explores drawing as a means of inventing a parallel world, where maps, landscapes, architecture and satellite views combine to form fictional fragments.
Fascinated by decorated caves and cave art, he questions our relationship with reality through visions that are both macroscopic and microscopic. His work also takes the form of site-specific interventions, in which the mineral form becomes a recurring area of research.
